What is Myth?

Myth is the sister world to Earth, where Elves, Dwarves, Fairies, Dragons, Unicorns, and many other myths and legends live safe and sound after the fall of the Golden Age. It's a vast and lush world full of culture and, of course, magic.

How did the Golden Age Fall?

Sadly, it was due to a very skilled sorcerer who wished to control the flow of magic. That act caused magic to grow sour and rotten, causing many mythical beings to mutate and change. Sirens were once mermaids before the soured magic changed them. Vampires? They wereonce elves. It's because of these changes and new dangers magic now caused that formed a rift between Man and those of Magic.

How do we find Myth?

Thats simple, though only a few people are brave enough to take the step. The World of Myth is hidden behind doors that seem to lead nowhere. Most doors that seem out of place are likely doorways to Myth, but you need a special key to enter. Or a Fox Drake to guide the way.

How do I find a Fox Drake?

Thats simpler! I have an Etsy shop with a few Fox Drakes looking for thier Keepers. I even have a few orphaned eggs looking for new homes, along with other mythical beings willing to reach out to Man. You just have to find the one that speaks to you.

Book Updates and other little things

Note to Self, Don't use Fivr Editors

As a new author to the publishing and editing game, I’ve learned a valuable lesson in not going to Fivr for hiring editors. I went through two editors there for the first round of editing and the second round after revision, and I’m still finding SO many mistakes and missing lines! I’m so mad at myself for this, but at the same time, this is the very first book that I’ve ever published.

I’ll keep this first version up for now, but once I can get a better cover and editor, I’ll edit the book.

Why am I changing the Cover? I want the first edition of the book to stand out from the second (better edited) edition. Plus, my mom is a watercolor artist, and I’d like to collaborate with her to make some really nice pictures for the inside of the book and the cover itself. So, the First edition will remain up for now. Just know that I’ll be taking it off sale once the manuscript is properly edited.

Here’s hoping I don’t make the same mistake again for books 2-4!

At the same time, my Beta Readers didn’t notice this either. So I don’t know how this happened, but I intend to fix this as soon as humanly possible.

Let’s try this again, shall we? Everything has a learning curb, after all!

The Writer Behind the Magic

I've always loved to write, having written fanfictions, short stories, and even a couple attempts at full books. Some of those Fanfictions are still on the internet to this day. Writing and being creative had always been an enriching part of my life.

To be honest, I didn't really plan on writing a book about the Fox Drakes in the beginning. The Drakes had started out as just artdolls that I had fun making. And slowly, characters started sticking like Ashling and Locket. They were the founding characters of Guardians and Keepers of Myth.

When I started finally writing the book, it was because the story I was thinking of for the Drakes was taking on paths of its own and I had to write it down. It had a few false starts, and it was a struggle with dyslexia messing up some of the words I wrote, but the experience was just so much fun!
